The .DE ccTLD (Country Code Top Level Domain name) has been released in 1986. It is the second most popular ccTLD after the .CN one. Unlike the .AU and .UK ccTLDs the .DE one does not need second level domain name such as .COM.AU or .CO.UK and .ORG.UK.
