E-mail Filters Tutorial
Mail filters are actually message rules, which rely on the settings below to filter out unwanted messages or redirect specific e-mails to preliminarily set mailboxes.
All the following settings must be entered in order for the mail filter to work.
First of all, users must select which e-mail alias the E-mail Filter should apply to by choosing it from the drop menu. Using the "Where" drop menu, users have to select the exact location of the selected Text to match in the E-mail message. The "Conditions" drop menu set the circumstances under which the incoming e-mails will be filtered. The "Text to match" field should be filled out with the exact words or phrases to be filtered. Filtered e-mails can either be redirected to another mailbox or deleted. This is defined by the "Action" drop menu. If users select "redirect to" as their desired action, they'll have to enter the mail to which it'll be redirected in the "E-mail" field. Once all the options have been set, click on "Add Filter". |
