The Developers Department of ResellersPanel is happy to announce the release of File Manager version 2.01. The majorly updated file management software boasts many new useful features and functionalities. Since the very launch of our in-house developed File Manager (version 2.0), we've been carefully following the comments of our resellers and their clients, and thanks to all the feedback we've been gathering, we were able to outline some areas that definitely needed improvement. We hope that with the new release we will fill some gaps and satisfy most of your biggest requirements.
Let's shed some light on the new features coming in version 2.01:
1. Clicking on a file name/or a folder type icon you are able to open tooltips providing options for different actions. So far, on these tooltips the 'Download' option was featuring together with the 'Open' one. In the new version the two actions are offered separately, as this turns to be more convenient for our users.
2. A 'Download' button has been added also to the upper and down Action toolbars, giving possibility for multiple files/folders download. When you select the desired items, the files/folders are automatically generated in a .ZIP archive and downloaded to your PC.
3. Should you have not notices yet, 'Download' option is now available also for folders. It works on the same principle as the multiple files download.
4. Archive/ZIP option is also available for folders now. It creates a .ZIP file from a chosen directory, and saves the archive on the server.
5. A new type icon has been added in the information field of each file/folder. It gives access to the permissions set for the respective directory location, and allows changes to be made by simply clicking on it.
6. 'Enter Custom Path' - this new field allows the users to type a directory location that they wish to go to. This option is especially practical for well known and often visited host destinations, the name of which you know by heart. It completely spares you the time-consuming process of browsing through files and folders along to the desired directory path.
Many more new functionalities have been added, substantially updated is also the Plain Text Editor, now featuring a new "GO TO LINE" field, PHP syntax check and more.
