E-mail Manager Tutorial

Users can use the "E-Mail Manager" section of the SS Web Hosting Control Panel to view, create and edit E-mail addresses.
Users can also delete e-mail aliases by clicking on the cross icon under the "Delete Alias" field. This does not delete the mailbox itself though.
To add a new mail alias, users must click the "Alias" icon corresponding to the mailbox name they would like to create an alias for. On the next screen users have to type in their desired mail alias and, using the drop menu, choose the mailbox for that alias.
By clicking on the "Outlook" icon, SS will launch a file which will automatically set a users' Outlook e-mail settings for that e-mail alias. Users should follow the on-screen instructions to install the file and update their registry.
The other 2 e-mail options in the e-mail manager section of the SS Web Hosting Control Panel are "Change password" (for changing mailbox and aliases password) and "Set Autoresponder" (used to set an automated response to all mails from that mailbox).
The "Delete Mailbox" icon is used to delete the mailbox and all mail aliases in that mailbox.
To add a mail address, users must type in their desired mail user and choose the Domain or SubDomain for that user from the drop menu next to the field. If the mail is to be a Catchall e-mail, then check the "Catchall e-mail" box. The e-mail password must be entered and then retyped in the "Password" and "Retype Password" fields.
Users can also set an autoresponder for that mailbox by checking the "Use Autoresponder" button and filling in the Autorespond field.
When all the fields are filled out, click the "Add Mail" button.
To check their e-mail, users can either use our web-based mail by using the "Webmail" link from the Control Panel and login using their e-mail and password, or use any POP3 or IMAP mail client. The settings for the mail should be as follows:
E-mail: email@domain.com
POP3/IMAP (incoming mail server): mail.SS$.com
SMTP (outgoing mail server): mail.SS$.com
Username: the Mailbox name (email@domain.com)
(Again, be sure to change the "$" string given here with the correct SS number)
Password: Same password, which was set on the address creation screen. It can always be changed using this part of the Web Hosting Control Panel.
