Password Protected Areas Tutorial
The SS Password Protect Areas service lets users protect directories against unauthorized access. Should a site visitor try to access a file inside a password protected directory, or the directory itself, a pop up dialogue window will request the visitors username and password. If the login details are correct, the visitor will be allowed access to the file or directory contents.
To password protect a directory, fill out the fields with the appropriate information, choose (or browse to, using the [...] button next to the "Path" field) the path to the directory and click on "Add New User". Once a directory has been password protected, users can always edit its password or remove it from the protected directories list.
