Web Hosting Terms
Q: What is WWW?
A: WWW (World Wide Web) is the graphical segment of the Internet, which is made up of millions of web pages on servers all over the world. Each page has an address called a URL, and contains clickable links that take the visitors to other web pages.
Q: What is a domain name?
A: A domain name is the unique name that identifies a website on the Internet. Domain names always have 2 or more parts separated by dots – for example, domain.com or domain.co.uk, where the 'domain' part is called SLD (Second-Level Domain) and the '.com/.co.uk' part is the so-called TLD (Top-Level Domain). The domain names that are hosted on our servers are available on the Internet at http://my-best-domain.com and http://www.my-best-domain.com
Q: What is page ranking?
A: Page ranking is a means of listing page hits retrieved from an Internet search in order of relevance, and is defined by the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Alexa, MSN, etc.
Q: What is an IP Address?
A: An IP Address (Internet Protocol Address) is a unique number, which consists of 4 parts separated by dots, e.g. 165.113.245.2. Every machine connected to the Internet possesses a unique IP number. Your hosting plan comes with shared IP addresses (each belonging to the server DNS). You can request a dedicated IP address if you need one (for an e-commerce solution that requires installation of SSL, for example). Use the Add Services link in the Upgrade section of the web hosting control panel to order an IP address upgrade.
Q: What is a link?
A: A link is a connection between text or pictures located on a given web page and another web page. In a typical web page, text links are shown in a different colour text and/or are underlined. When you click on a link located on a certain web page, it immediately takes you to another web page specified by that link.
Q: What is a URL?
A: URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is the standard way to indicate the address of any resource on the World Wide Web. The most common way to use a URL is to enter it into a WWW browser program such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Q: What is Unix?
A: Unix is the computer operating system, which is the core of our servers. It is the most common operating system for servers on the Internet, and is designed to be used by many people at the same time. It has a TCP/IP built-in.
Q: What is bandwidth?
A: Bandwidth is the amount of data that can be transferred to or from a website or server, usually measured in bits per second. An entire page of text is about 16,000 bits, whereas a fast modem can move nearly 56,000 bits in one second. A full-motion full-screen video requires about 10,000,000 bits per second, depending on the compression.
IMPORTANT: Bandwidth differs from Traffic. Your account includes traffic quota, which you can check in the Account Usage table in the web hosting control panel.
Q: What is HTTP?
A: HTTP (HyperText Transfer Protocol) is the protocol for moving hypertext files across the Internet. It requires an HTTP client program and an HTTP server program. HTTP is the most important protocol used in the World Wide Web.
Q: What is HTML?
A: HTML (HyperText Markup Language) is a programming language used to create web pages. HTML files are designed so as to be viewed using a web browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Netscape Communicator, etc.
Q: What is CGI?
A: CGI (Common Gateway Interface) is a program, which takes data from a web server and modifies it – e.g. converts forms into e-mail messages, or transforms keywords into database queries.
Q: Do I need cookies?
A: Cookies store information about the visitors to a given website - this data (username, password, which parts of the site were visited, etc.) is updated with every next visit. Cookies must be allowed in order to have the hosting account login page and the web hosting control panel work properly. You should lower the security settings of your browser to the medium level to avoid any problems.
Q: What is a plug-in?
A: A plug-in is a small program, which interacts with and adds features to a larger piece of software. Common examples are plug-ins for the Netscape browser or a web server. The users need only to install the few plug-ins that they need.
Q: What is a port?
A: Each service on an Internet server listens on a particular port number on that server. Most services have standard port numbers, e.g. web servers normally listen on port 80.
Q: What is SMTP?
A: SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is the main protocol used to send electronic mail across the Internet. You can use the shared SMTP, or, in case it is blocked by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you can ask them to provide you with their SMTP server.
Q: What is streaming?
A: Streaming is a technique for transferring data in such a way that it can be processed as a steady and continuous stream. It allows playing of audio and video files without having to download these files on the HDD of your PC first. Audio and video streaming is not allowed on our servers because they load the server CPU and thus affect its performance in a negative way.
Q: Can I use Java Applets on the server?
A: Yes, you can. It is a small Java program that can be embedded into an HTML page and make an Internet connection to the computer from which the applet was sent. However, you cannot use JSP (Java Server Page) because this is a server-side technology that we do not support.

A: The $5.00 price is valid only if the domain name is being ordered together with a web hosting plan. That is why the price is so low. You can register domain names for your own needs at a yearly price of $8.50 only.

Reseller Control Panel Menu Items
Private Label
Store Settings
In this section you can enter your desired DBA (Doing Business As) name for your online hosting store, your store’s default currency and default domain.
The DBA (store) name, which you specify in the corresponding field, will be displayed on all your order pages, Thank You! pages, invoices, welcome e-mails, account renewals and other e-mail notifications. It will be also shown in your customers’ hosting Control Panel.
Try to keep your DBA (Doing Business As) name short and easy to remember. Your domain name should match it at least partially if not fully. In case you have more than one domain name for your online store, you are able to specify your store’s default domain!
Domain Manager
The Domain Manager section gives you full control over domain registration and transfer procedures. You have the ability to change the DNS settings and Whois details at any time.
You are able to fully manage the domain names in the account, add an existing domain name for your reseller purposes and set a global password for your e-mail account. The default e-mail address sales@your-domain.com will be created automatically. Additional e-mail aliases such as ceo@, marketing@, support@, etc. can be added later.
Website Template
In this section you can select which of our free reseller web hosting templates you will be using on your online store. You will find a screen shot of each template in our gallery so it will be easier for you to decide. Your store settings will remain the same no matter which web hosting template you choose. Most of the templates are available in English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
Our latest templates offer your customers the opportunity to take a quick tour. You can select the exact pages, which will be shown on each step of the tour. The "Best Deal Plan" is a marketing option, which allows you to recommend a particular web hosting plan on the last page of the tour.
In order to provide our web hosting resellers with unique identity, we have created an editable "About Us" section on each template. This is the place where you introduce your company to your potential and existing customers. You can preview this section by visiting your online store and clicking on the "ABOUT US" link in the top navigation menu.
You can replace our default descriptions with your own ones according to your marketing strategies. Keep in mind that the more information you provide, the more likely the potential clients will become real clients! You may include your company name or business name, current address, heads of departments (if there are any), current projects, successful investments, etc.
The "Contact US" page is the place where you set your website’s contact information. Make sure that you fill in your details correctly. If you do not want to specify an E-mail, ICQ or a Phone number, just leave the corresponding fields empty.
Marketing Tools
The Marketing Tools section gives you the ability to apply your own header, footer, meta tags, to create "menu links" and sort the web hosting package features offered on the web hosting stores.
You are able to apply flash animation or a banner to your store’s header. The files should first be uploaded and then inserted with the corresponding code into the Custom HTML field. If you select the Text option and leave it blank, the store name will be automatically inserted into the top field of your reseller store. However, it can be replaced by a custom text or HTML code.
The footer section allows you to add text, a banner image or custom HTML at the bottom of every page of your website. If you leave these fields blank, there will be nothing at the bottom of the pages of your website.
The Menu Links section allows you to customize a small menu with up to three buttons. You should choose the name and the link connected to the button. If you leave these fields blank, there will be no menu displayed.
Setting your own meta tags will give you a unique rating with all the search engines. The more targeted the keywords you use, the better the rating you will receive. However, good rating is not guaranteed by the search engines and they keep the formula they use to calculate ratings a secret. Sometimes it is just a matter of good luck getting into the first few ranks. If you decide to edit the meta tags, then you should fill out at least one field from each category. If you need to remove the meta tags, then you should delete all fields from all categories.
Using the Sort Features option you can reorder the appearance of the hosting plan/package features on your website. Depending on your customers’ needs you can select which hosting features will displayed first and those, which are not so important. Note that you will not change the hosting plan/package itself - just the appearance of the hosting service features on your reseller website.
E-mails & News
Once you register or add a domain name for your reseller purposes, the default e-mail account will be created, e.g. sales@your-private-brand.com. You can create additional email aliases (such as webmaster@your-private-brand.com, ceo@your-private-brand.com and so on) using the Create E-mail Address section.
The username and password will be as follows:
Username: your-private-brand.com
Password: the password you have set in "Change mailbox password"
You can access your mail via POP3 or IMAP with the following settings:
POP3/IMAP server: mail.supremecenter.com
SMTP server: mail.supremecenter.com
Please have in mind that the SMTP server requires authentication!
Log in using only your domain name as username, e.g. your-private-brand.com, and the password you have set in the "Domain Manager" section. If you do not want to use an e-mail client you can use our Webmail with the same login details here:
http://webmail.supremecenter.com
The username and password will be as follows:
Username: your-private-brand.com
Password: the password you have set in "Change mailbox password"
In case you need to delete e-mail aliases, just select the check boxes beside those e-mail aliases you would like to delete and click on the "Delete Selected" button. If you ever decide to change the password for accessing the e-mail addresses (aliases) you have created in your account, hit "Change password".
Note: Make sure that you have entered one and the same password in both of the fields. Otherwise your password will not be changed.
RSS News
In case you are using a custom web store (not using the reseller templates) hosted in a web hosting account, you are able to implement our "RSS News" option.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. The RSS Feed is a piece of information, which can be displayed on your website. Webmasters usually do this in order to create fresh daily content to get more search engine traffic. To display RSS feeds in order to increase your own website traffic, you will have to use a tool which will display real content on your site. You should have a tool that generates real HTML content into your web pages in order to display other people’s RSS Feeds on your website and generate real content that can be spidered by the search engines.
To display the RSS Feed you can use the tool we have created for you ( download href="donload URL"). To use this tool, you should install it onto your website and insert a code into your web page(s). Our script will generate real HTML into your pages, which means that you will have real content on your site. If you check the source code of the pages where you have pasted the code, you will not see the code but the real content instead.
Account Profile
The Account Profile section contains your account information, commission payment settings and the payment history of your account. Please keep your personal details up to date! Note that the contact information you provide will be used when we send you your commission payments. If you have chosen the paper check as a payment method, we will send it to you using the contact information provided.
By default, your commission payments will be sent by a paper check. The minimum amount, which can be paid by a paper check, is $50.00 USD. We will send the check to the postal address you have provided during the sign up process. You can always update that address in the My Details tab in the Account Profile section under the Private Label menu.
PayPal payments are also available. The minimum amount, which can be paid through PayPal, is $50.00 USD. We also offer bank wire as a payment method. The minimum amount, which can be paid by a bank wire transfer, is $500.00 USD. If you choose bank wire as a payment method, your commission payment will be reduced by $30 to cover the transaction fee.
You may choose your wallet as a payment method and later spend some funds for purchasing reseller services or ordering hosting accounts for your clients manually. The minimum amount, which can be paid through the Wallet, is $50.00 US.
NOTE: Please note that from the 29th day of the present month until the 6th day of the next month the current release level and the payment method cannot be changed.
By using the Payment History tab you will be able to see the statistics of all the commission payments we have transferred to your account.

IMPORTANT NOTE: US residents only!
If you have received commissions by check and/or bank wire, which exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, you will have to submit a 1099 form (see the explanations below), which will be sent to you at the address you have specified in the My Details section.
All PayPal and wallet payments are handled by the UK-based company LiquidNet Ltd. and in such cases submission of a W-9 form is not necessary.
If you do not submit a W-9 form, we cannot pay you your commissions. After you submit the form, we will pay you all sums due (if you have accumulated such) and the subsequent commission payments will proceed normally, according to the ResellersPanel payment schedule.
W-9 Form Requirements
The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) requires us to declare all the sums paid by us to US citizens, companies or organizations exceeding $600.00 USD during the current year. All US citizens, companies or organizations receiving their commissions by check or bank wire MUST submit a W-9 form if the total amount of the received/cashed commission payments exceeds $600.00 for the current year.
What follows the W-9 form submission?
If you have submitted the W-9 form and received commissions (by check and/or bank wire), which exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, in the beginning of the next year (i.e. every January) we will send you your 1099 form by mail at the address you have specified in the Account Details section.
If you have submitted the W-9 form and received commissions (via PayPal and/or in your wallet), which exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, a 1099 form will not be sent to you because the PayPal and the wallet payments are handled by LiquidNet Ltd. (a UK-based company).
If you have submitted the W-9 form and received commissions (by check and/or bank wire), which do not exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, a 1099 form will not be sent to you because the IRS requires 1099 form submissions only for sums, which exceed $600,00.

Hosting Services
Plans & Domains
In the "On Offer" section you can choose the services that you will resell and the services that will be advertised on your main page. You can offer maximum 4 hosting plans on your online store (see the "Plan Offer" section), 2 of which on the index page. These can be either the two pre-defined plans or your custom-made ones, or both. To select which 2 plans will be viewable on your store’s index page, see the "Plan Index" section. Please note that you must activate all the plans you’d like to offer.
You may offer your clients a FREE domain name registration with every hosting account purchase (see the "FREE Domain Offer" section). We offer our resellers the possibility of having 20 plans.
Please note that if you have a client (regardless of the account status) with an existing custom plan you will not be able to delete that plan. For that reason you will not be able to modify the plan’s name and the offered features. You may alter only the monthly price of the plan. If you still would like to delete that plan, please move the client to another plan of yours.
Set Prices
In the "Set Prices" section you must set a price for each of the services you have decided to offer. Just fill in the service prices and click on the 'Save Settings' button at the bottom of the page. Your profit will be automatically calculated and displayed under 'Profit'.
Pricing Example:
If you would like to set up a price of $5.55 per month for your Business account, the price you have to enter in the "Retail Price" box must be $66.60 (12 months x $5.55 = $66.60)
If, after the 12-month period ends, your customer decides to keep the hosting account purchased from your hosting store, you will get the profit from the renewal of this customer’s account. You will receive a profit from each customer every year as long as he/she remains a client of your web hosting store.
Create Plans
By using the Create Plans option you have the flexible opportunity to set up unique web hosting plans. You have the chance to create 17 custom-made plans at your personal discretion on the basis of the plan-building tools that we offer.
Before starting to configure your own plan using the listed tools, you ought to take into consideration the following conditions:
1. Each web hosting plan must include the following services: Disk space, Traffic, Hosted domains and E-mail addresses. They must have values different from 0.
2. The plan pricing is automatic and cannot be altered even upon contacting our support team.
3. If, however, you need a discount on the price of the plan, you should check the table with the bonus options in Account Refill. There you could get a bonus reaching 20%!
It’s easy and simple - we provide you with the services at wholesale prices, you choose the quantity. Please have a look at the plan builder help information:
Service - a component of our Control Panel, which can be enabled or disabled at your discretion. All the components, with the exception of Disk space, Traffic, Hosted domains and E-mail boxes, may be completely inactive at the set-up of a new plan.
Quantity - Quantity of the specific Service. It is normally in MB or GB according to the Service. It can be enabled or disabled.
Monthly - Monthly Price. The value of each service per a single month. This is actually the sum that we charge for the concrete service for a period of one month.
Basic Unit - The Basic unit according to which the value of a single Unit Price is calculated. It may be different for the different Services.
Unit Price - this is the value of one Basic Unit per month.
After the web hosting plan is created, you should set a price for it. The minimum monthly retail price (RP) you can set for your hosting plan cannot be lower than the wholesale price (WP) +5%.
When the price is set, you are ready to start promoting the new web hosting plan. This plan will be available for purchase from the Resellers Control Panel. If you want your new hosting plan to be displayed on your Online Store (href), you must check the Plan Offer (href) box for this plan in the On Offer (href) section.
List All Plans
The List all Plans menu provides detailed information about the usage of all your web hosting plans. In order to see the details of a given plan please click on the "view" link in the "Details" section of the table (a pop-up window will open). In the "Clients" section you can see how many of your clients are using this plan. Click on the number to see more details such as: username, the date on which the account was created, the account’s expiry date, the server that it is presently hosted on, and other.
Upgrades
In this section you can set the prices for the available service upgrades. The prices of the upgrades are set on a monthly basis but will be billed for the remaining period of the hosting account.
Example of an upgrade
If your customer has already used 6 of his 12 months of web hosting and you have set a price of $5.00/mo for 100 MB of additional storage, then he/she will be charged for using 100 MB of additional storage for a 6-month period. The amount your customer will be charged with is $30.00 ($5.00/mo x 6 months = $30.00). Your profit from this $30.00-order will be $16.80, as the wholesale price of 100 MB storage is $2.20/mo ($30.00 - $13.20 = $16.80).
The same is valid for all other service upgrades except Traffic. The customer will purchase an amount of traffic, which he/she can use in the remaining period of his/her hosting account.
Example:
If your customer purchases 10 GB of additional traffic then he/she will be able to use these 10 GB of traffic for the next 6 months (until his/her account expires or he/she renews his/her account). This means that the customer can use approximately 1.667 GB of additional traffic per month, if the usage is spread equally among the remaining six months of the Services period. Of course, the customer is not obliged to do this and can spend the additional traffic in just one month of peak usage, for instance. |
Add Hosting Account
By using the Add Hosting Account section you can manually purchase web hosting accounts and domain names at wholesale prices for you or for a client of yours. Once you finalize the order, the account login information will be sent to the e-mail address provided below. The personal details specified here will identify the account owner. View Affiliates
You can easily make money by just referring new resellers to any of our hosting services, thus making them your affiliates. Each time the clients of your affiliates order or renew their hosting accounts, register domain names or upgrade services, you will receive 10% of the particular transaction as a commission. The section below allows you to view all the affiliates you have attracted and the amount of profits they have brought to you.
Through our Affiliate program you can refer other resellers to Resellers Panel and earn 10% of each wholesale price of every service they sell. You do not need to sign up or do anything else. Just make potential resellers sign up by clicking on the following URL:
http://www.resellerspanel.com/a/YOURUSERNAME
The 2-Tier referral program is available to all resellers. You will receive a commission, which amounts to 10% of the web hosting plan’s wholesale price every time a reseller referred by you makes a sale. There is no commission for sold domain names through the 2-Tier referral program. The resellers are not allowed to refer themselves or their family members and relatives to different accounts, which contain one and the same mailing address or bank information. LiquidNet Ltd. verifies all 2-Tier accounts and payments. Any account’s holder breaching these terms will not be paid and will not be allowed to use LiquidNet Ltd.’s reseller program or services. In cases of refunded or fraudulent sales, the respective commissions will be deducted.
In order to draw more resellers we have prepared this page containing banners (href="http://www.resellerspanel.com/affiliate_program/new_banners.html") of various sizes. Those banners are intended to help you attract more affiliates. The bigger the number of your affiliates is, the larger the profits from our 10% monthly affiliate commission will be. At the moment, the available banners are for common use. Expect more beautiful and targeted banners to come soon - aimed exclusively at the cPanel Program and the Dedicated servers offers.
Wallet Balance
Your wallet is designed for you to deposit funds in it and later spend them for purchasing various reseller services or web hosting plans at wholesale prices. You can also use the wallet and benefit from huge discounts when ordering through the Reseller API or the Manual order form.
Example: If you deposit $500.00 USD, you will get a bonus of $55.00 USD (that’s 11%). If you deposit $3000.00 USD, you will get a bonus of $600.00 USD (that’s 20%) and the total amount, which will finally go to the wallet, is $3600.00 USD.
Please note that all refills are final! No refund will be given for any reason. Reseller Panel offers a customizable wallet notification service. An e-mail notification will be sent to you if the funds in your wallet drop to a certain minimum level. You may specify that minimum amount.
Invoice Manager
Resellers Panel aims to provide you with as much information as possible looked at from different angles. The Invoice Manager supports three primary functions:
a. Statistics & Totals - statistic information for a given period of time. The information is based on each single payment transaction;
b. Invoice/Credit Note Details - details about each Invoice or Credit Note. The information is based on each single payment transaction;
c. Document/Client Search - advanced search for a specific client or his/her past payment activities based on given parameters.
Based on the prices of the services offered by you, the Invoices/Credit Notes are marked as either Retail or Wholesale. Each Retail Invoice or Credit Note always goes hand in hand with a Wholesale one.
If the original payment is based on a Wholesale price, i.e. if you have made a sale through Resellers Panel’s Control Panel or the API, then only a Wholesale Invoice is being issued, while a Wholesale Credit Note is being issued upon a partial or a full refund of the Invoice. A Self-Billing Tax Invoice is being issued only upon a successful receipt of your commissions.

You can use a client login form when you create a member’s area on your custom-made online store. There your customers will be able to access their hosting accounts. Paste the HTML code below into the source of your website. You just have to replace http://www.your-private-brand.com/login.html with the URL of the page where you are placing the client login form, as the client will be redirected to this URL in case of a wrong login.
The Reseller API
The Reseller API allows you to have your own billing system, thus bypassing our fraud protection. Through the API you will be able to remotely create account names in our system. You can use it on your own web site.
The Resellers Panel API is a server application in PHP, running on a Linux machine with an Apache web server. Although the Resellers Panel API is actually a PHP script, it is not intended for direct access. Its primary goal is to provide your back-end scripts with the necessary information about your store. The API can be tested by turning the API Demo Mode on (from the Change API settings menu). In this case the API will return standard answers and the changes that you’ve made will not be applied.
The API option is related to the wallet balance and cannot be used if your balance is not enough for purchasing a certain service. This document will supply you with brief information on how the API is used.

Support Tickets
Client Support
In general, the 24/7 technical support of your customers is our responsibility. However, when you create custom hosting plans using the Liquid Plan Builder and choose Own Customer Support, you will be required to provide support to all customers of yours who order such a custom plan. All tickets opened by these customers, will be received here in the Resellers Ticket System. You will have 15 days to reply to them. After that period of time they will be closed automatically.
The Client Support section has been added to the Resellers Control Panel in order to allow you to provide direct support to your existing customers. This is a feature that some of our resellers requested as they would like to maintain total control over their web hosting business.
Your clients are able to request help directly from their hosting control panel. This is done through the Help Center section by clicking the "request help" link.
To check whether a client of yours has requested help, go to the Client Support section of your Resellers Control Panel. In the “Not Answered” tab you will find a list containing all the tickets that have been opened and not answered. You can view the ticket number, its subject and status, the date on which it was opened and the average answer time. An e-mail will be also sent to you in order to notify you of a client’s request for help.
To answer a trouble ticket, go to the "Not Answered" tab in the Client Support section and click on the ticket number. In a window that will open you may answer a client’s question.
If a question can not be answered, feel free to forward it to our outstanding technical support team. When posting a ticket comment, select ResellersPanel Support as a recipient. Our team will review the whole communication and will reply back. You will receive the reviewed ticket back in the Open tab. A notification will be sent to you by e-mail as well.
The RSP Not Answered tab section contains tickets that were sent to you by our technical support staff, but you did not respond to them. These tickets have been opened by clients of yours to whom we provide support. In the tickets that we send to you we may require some additional information from you in your capacity as a reseller.
Reseller Support
The Reseller Support section allows you to request help from our outstanding technical support team by opening a trouble ticket. Beside the already familiar online contact form, e-mail, live chat and phone support, this is the newest method for contacting our support team.
In order to open a trouble ticket and request help, go to the Reseller Support section of your Resellers Control Panel and click the Open A New Ticket tab. After you fill in all the required fields, submit the ticket by clicking on the Add Ticket button. We will reply back to you in less than an hour.
Once our support team replies to your question, the ticket you have opened will remain in the Open tab section for you to preview it. You will receive a notification by e-mail that there has been a reply to your request for help.
If you are satisfied with the answer you have received or if the problem you have experienced has been solved, you may close the trouble ticket by clicking on its number first, and then on the Close It link. We would be very happy if you evaluated our support team by voting and sending us your feedback.
If you believe that you did not receive an accurate assistance, you may re-open an already closed trouble ticket from the Closed tab section. Click on the ticket number and then on the Re-Open link. After the ticket changes its status to "Opened", you may type your new comment and submit it again.
