US Resellers: 1099 tax forms have been sent!

Publish Date: Friday, March 16, 2007

US residents only!

We would like to announce that all 1099 tax forms, which were submitted by our US resellers, have been sent to the authorities during the first week of March. The receive status can be checked in the new Tax Info page in the Account Details section of the Reseller Control Panel. The Tax Info page is visible only for US resellers. Note that you can easily submit your W-9 form via this page and later check the receive status.

If you have received commissions by check and/or bank wire, which exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, you will have to submit a 1099 form (see the explanations below), which will be sent to you at the address you have specified in the My Details section.

All PayPal and wallet payments are handled by the UK-based company LiquidNet Ltd. and in such cases submission of a W-9 form is not necessary.

If you do not submit a W-9 form, we cannot pay you your commissions. After you submit the form, we will pay you all sums due (if you have accumulated such) and the subsequent reseller commission payments will proceed normally, according to our reseller web hosting network payment schedule.

W-9 Form Requirements
The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) requires us to declare all the sums paid by us to US citizens, companies or organizations exceeding $600.00 USD during the current year. All US citizens, companies or organizations receiving their commissions by check or bank wire MUST submit a W-9 form if the total amount of the received/cashed free hosting reseller commission payments exceeds $600.00 for the current year.

What follows the W-9 form submission?
If you have submitted the W-9 form and received commissions (by check and/or bank wire), which exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, in the beginning of the next year (i.e. every January) we will send you your 1099 form by mail at the address you have specified in your Account Details section.

If you have submitted the W-9 form and received commissions (via PayPal and/or in your wallet), which exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, a 1099 form will not be sent to you because the PayPal and the wallet payments are handled by LiquidNet Ltd. (a UK-based company).

If you have submitted the W-9 form and received commissions (by check and/or bank wire), which do not exceed $600.00 for the current or the previous year, a 1099 form will not be sent to you because the IRS requires 1099 form submissions only for sums, which exceed $600,00.
