Starting today, May 26, 2004, all of our web hosting resellers will be able to renew the web hosting accounts of their clients manually through the "Manual Renewal" section of the Reseller Control Panel.
How does the "Manual Renewal" service work?
For example if one of your clients (let us assume that the hosting client has registered a domain name together with the purchased web hosting plan) forgets to renew the purchased hosting account due to any reason this will lead to domain expiration. The reseller then could take the decision to renew the account and the domain registration at wholesale price directly from the "Manual Renewal" section, which is located on the left part of the page above "Direct Order Form" and below "Manual Order" from the Reseller Control Panel.
This situation is possible in case that the hosting client and the reseller are able to set their financial relations after the "Manual Renewal" of the hosting account by the reseller.
When the hosting client has no direct contact with the web hosting reseller, the decision of the reseller to renew his account manually through the added "Manual Renewal" section could turn out to be not particularly wise. This is so because the collection of the hosting fee from the client could be a problem later, lead to a refund request and other complicated procedures.
The "Manual Renewal" option is particularly convenient for resellers who have a direct contact with their clients (in many cases they have access to their clients� accounts as well). Many web designers and webmasters use our web hosting reseller program and prefer to buy hosting accounts and domain names for their clients using their own credit cards or PayPal accounts.
Currently the renewal of web hosting accounts is possible at cycles of 12 months (one year).
In the future, monthly hosting plans will be introduced as well.
Soon with the introduction of the monthly plans, monthly renewal cycles will be introduced as well, where the renewal will be automatic using recurring billing for the purpose. A full cycle of recurring billing will be set to 24 month by default. After the 24 months have passed, the hosting account will have to be renewed manually to start the next 24-month recurring billing cycle for the monthly plans.
